Now, your child can learn Telugu while living here!

TAJA is happy to offer a Telugu Badi program for kids that will enable them to learn (read and write) Telugu language and understand our culture at an appropriate age. The current year class schedule is as follows:

Venue: Jacksonville Hindu Temple on Greenland Road (Map/Directions)
Time: 2.00 PM to 4:00 PM (Every Sunday through March)

In order to enroll, download the enrollment form, fill it in, and email it to Telugubadi during July and August (before August 31) of the school year. The student should be atleast 5 years old to join the program.

Our curriculum is split into three levels. We recommend that students progress from level one through level three in that sequence to maximize benefits from this course. If a student is already comfortable at a particular level, he/she can progress to the next level. If you are not attending regular sessions, you can take advantage of the online curriculum by following the links below.

Level 1

Based on Telugu Varna Chitramala by Shraddha Publications, Secunderabad.

Level 2

Based on Telugu Baalasiksha by Shraddha Publications, Secunderabad.

Level 3

Based on Telugu Bharathi for Class 2 by Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.

Details of the Telugubadi Summer camp will be announced at the end of the regular school year. Summer camp enrollments will be notified/handled separately. It usually lasts about 6-8 weeks.

If you can spare a couple of hours every Sunday, and have interest to teach the Telugu language and culture to our future generation, Please consider volunteering your time and services to help our children learn the Telugu Language.
